What Happened to All the Nice Guys?

Dating Article by my friend KidLion39

I see this question posted with some regularity in the personals section, so I thought I’d take a minute to explain things to the ladies out there that haven’t figured it out.

What happened to all the nice guys?

The answer is simple: you did.

See, if you think back, really hard, you might vaguely remember a Platonic guy pal who always seemed to want to spend time with you. He’d tag along with you when you went shopping, stop by your place for a movie when you were lonely but didn’t feel like going out, or even sit there and hold you while you sobbed and told him about how horribly the (other) guy that you were [messing around with] treated you.

At the time, you probably joked with your girlfriends about how he was a little puppy dog, always following you around, trying to do things to get you to pay attention to him. They probably teased you because they thought he had a crush on you. Given that his behaviour was, admittedly, a little pathetic, you vehemently denied having any romantic feelings for him, and buttressed your position by claiming that you were “just friends.” Besides, he totally wasn’t your type. I mean, he was a little too short, or too bald, or too fat, or too poor, or didn’t know how to dress himself, or basically be or do any of the things that your tall, good-looking, fit, rich, stylish boyfriend at the time pulled off with such ease.

Eventually, your Platonic buddy drifted away, as your relationship with the boyfriend got more serious and spending time with this other guy was, admittedly, a little weird, if you weren’t dating him. More time passed, and the boyfriend eventually cheated on you, or became boring, or you realized that the things that attracted you to him weren’t the kinds of things that make for a good, long-term relationship. So, now, you’re single again, and after having tried the bar scene for several months having only encountered players and douche bags, you wonder, “What happened to all the nice guys?”

Well, once again, you did.

You ignored the nice guy. You used him for emotional intimacy without reciprocating, in kind, with physical intimacy. You laughed at his consideration and resented his devotion. You valued the aloof boyfriend more than the attentive “just-a-” friend. Eventually, he took the hint and moved on with his life. He probably came to realize, one day, that women aren’t really attracted to guys who hold doors open; or make dinners just because; or buy you a Christmas gift that you mentioned, in passing, that you really wanted five months ago; or listen when you’re upset; or hold you when you cry. He came to realize that, if he wanted a woman like you, he’d have to act more like the boyfriend that you had. He probably cleaned up his look, started making some money, and generally acted like more of a [jerk] than he ever wanted to be.

Fact is, now, he’s probably getting [some action], and in a way, your ultimate rejection of him is to thank for that. And I’m sorry that it took the complete absence of “nice guys” in your life for you to realize that you missed them and wanted them. Most women will only have a handful of nice guys stumble into their lives, if that.

So, if you’re looking for a nice guy, here’s what you do:

1.) Build a time machine.
2.) Go back a few years and pull your head out of your [butt].
3.) Take a look at what’s right in front of you and grab a hold of it.

I suppose the other possibility is that you STILL don’t really want a nice guy, but you feel the social pressure to at least appear to have matured beyond your infantile taste in men. In which case, you might be in luck, because the nice guy you claim to want has, in reality, shed his nice guy mantle and is out there looking to unleash his cynicism and resentment onto someone just like you.

If you were five years younger.

So, please: either stop misrepresenting what you want, or own up to the fact that you’ve [screwed] yourself over. You’re getting older, after all. It’s time to excise the [malarkey] and deal with reality. You didn’t want a nice guy then, and he certainly doesn’t … want you, now.

Well Water Change

Personal note. Today, Sunday, Nov 18 2012 I noticed black particles in my water, extreamly difficult to remove. Carbon Filters and Distillation have not been able to remove all of it. The source if from a Fr'acking Pad 2 miles away. From what I've heard some friends say, when they flare, things go bad immediately. I don't doubt it.

Personal Update

So I've been steering away from a lot of conspiracy stuff, a lot of crazy [people] have taken over the scene and I don't want to be associated with them. I'm just a normal person, trying to do whats right for the world, promoting peace, love, equality, and freedom.

I love RussiaToday, but after I saw Abby Martin give into the Bavarians by endorsing Gary Johnson, I decided that was it for me. This whole country has shifted to the right, even President Barack Obama is more Conservative than Ronald Reagan. I will admit I didn't like how Abby talked down on Izral, they're not all bad, but I held my tongue. But when she endorsed Johnson who proudly supports the destruction of the environment for the energy companies; -yea. I'm going with Jill Stein, the only Candidate who cares about people's health and the environment.

OK, saw this vid, made me laugh at the end LOL;

How to install NFS High Stakes on XP -SOLVED

I was experimenting with this, found some things, thought I'd share them.

I had problems installing NFS High Stakes on XP. Messing around with settings I fixed it, here's what I did;

RPC Service - Turned ON (Previously was off)
Windows Script Service [msiexec.exe] - Turned ON (Previously was off)
Ran mscdexnt.exe (system32 folder -has relation to system boot)
Ran wowexec.exe (system32 folder -Windows 16 bit program launcher)
Ran ntvdm.exe (system32 folder -has relation to system boot and 16 bit apps)
Ran nw16.exe (system32 folder) -thought it would help with 16 bit app launch

Do all that right before before you click "proceed" with NFS High Stakes install. I quickly ran mscdexnt.exe wowexec.exe ntvdm.exe and nw16.exe a couple of time during the installation process to make sure it was in the memory because for some reason those service programs quickly cut out, and it appears NFS High Stakes scans for those necessary programs, because when I didn't have those running I got an error -said Install Shield was already in use).

Once it installed, I was half way there, because of game settings and choppy play.
Updated with 4.50 update patch
Edited Registry to enabled Triple Buffer
Replaced d3da.dll file with the Spot Patch's Direct X 7 Thrash Driver
Then used the 1mb patch (nfs4.sdb)

Wella, plays on highest settings, no lag, looks and plays great.
NOTE: You can use the Compatibility mode -Win95 or Win98/ME instead of the 1mb patch, however that will lead to choppy game play, atleast for me.

Hope that info helps some people, I don't know it it'll work for you but it did for me.

Radon dropped below 4 pci

This morning I thought it was odd not to hear my Radon alarm not going off, as for the past 3 weeks it's been going off like crazy because of the Oil Industry mining near me. (I didn't sign a lease, as I'm not comfortable with the risks).

This morning it dropped blow 4.0 pci for the first time in 3 weeks. A few hours ago I checked it, and it was 3.8 pci, which is still pretty high but within acceptable limits.

As I've stated before my radon levels before they started mining was between 3.2 pci and 3.8 pci
Now I'm guessing they're going to literally "Frack" soon as noticeable changes means they're doing something. I have noticed slight increase in sediment, but hardly enough to change particle counts.

Orion Paul and Beelzebub

I recently came to 5starscream's video and saw how he mentioned how Orion is linked to the Apostle Paul. Paul being blinded by the resurrection.

I think the talk about this is coming from the Ro'sicurians, whom I try to stay neutral with, thou I do like their law of "leaving room for nature" as they are more of a ying and yang balance type organization regarding ideological beliefs.

I believe the talk is in reference to Syria, via Beelzebub. Some Religious Individuals are trying to paint Assad as Beelzebub, Guardian of God's Temple, yet also as the Prince of Darkness.

The part about Paul being blinded by the Resurrection, I believe that's in  reference to N'00ks.

Keep in mind, I'm not religious, far from it, as I'm a believer in GIA, mother earth. I believe peace and joy should be for everyone, living as one, with nature, with each other, sharing what I envision as the garden of eden (Venus Project).

But anyways, this information just came to me, and I thought it was important to share, perhaps it can be used to avert the dangerous path -war and world empire is leading us down.
